Back in the Saddle Again...

I've been away for awhile, but am back to talk more about Full-Time Moms!  I think the gap in posts is what happens to the best of us...we try and do it all!  We take on so much, try to juggle all the balls in the air and before we know it - we've spread ourselves too thin.  Instead of doing a few things really well, we are doing lots of things in a half-hearted (or insert another word here) way.

This blog is something I am truly passionate about.  I have rearranged some priorities and am ready to devote the time, talent and energy to make this blog meaningful to parents like me who are trying to be the best we can be (no rhyme intended).

It is summer time, the kids are out of school and our family is trying to focus on spending some quality time together.  While I tend to use the weekends to catch up on errands, housework and all the things I don't get to during the week, my husband and kids remind me that summer is about having FUN!  So our family  mission is to find fun things to do in our area (Orlando, FL) that are low on cost, but high in fun!  Along the way, I am learning more and more about my kids, my husband and myself.

Recently, we all went bowling.  There is something about the stale smell of a bowling alley and goofy shoes that screams (ok, maybe whispers) relax and have fun.  I saw the carefree, "girls just want to have fun" side of my daughters, soaked in the view of my husband and what a great dad he is and even caught a glimpse of the silly, spontaneous mom that I aspire to be.

It is easy to get caught up in the hectic, chaotic day-to-day and forget the magic of summer.  This week, lose the "to do" list for a few hours and spend some quality time with the ones you love the most.  Trust me - you'll create some great memories and the laundry, grocery shopping and other errands will still be there when (or if) you're ready to return...
